Five generations of vineyard enthusiasts have contributed to the legacy of this estate, beginning with Edmond, followed by René, then Roger, and now Patrick along with his children. The vineyards are located in five villages of the Montagne de Reims: Rilly-la-Montagne, Taissy, Trois-Puits, and Villers-Allerand, which are classified as Premier Cru, as well as Mailly-Champagne, classified as Grand Cru. The estate primarily focuses on three grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier. We prioritize the respect for traditions and biodiversity, employing integrated vineyard practices. Since 2016, Manceaux has been certified with high environmental value. The expertise developed over generations is complemented by innovations in both vineyard management and wine production.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: A delicate, sensual pink hue with lively effervescence. Aroma: An immediately expressive nose, revealing red fruit aromas of raspberry, strawberry, and blackcurrant. These are elegantly intertwined with spicy and woody notes, reminiscent of forest undergrowth, ripe wild berries, and noble vegetal scents such as licorice, lichen, and moss. Palate: From the first sip, a crisp and vibrant attack showcases the characteristic crunchiness of Pinot Noir and Meunier from the terroirs of Mailly and Rilly-la-Montagne, adding an extra layer of indulgence. The texture is built around suppleness, leading to a long, aromatic finish.
