Casal do Conde, established in the early 20th century by winemaker Manuel Henriques, is located in Vila Chã de Ourique within Portugal's Tejo region. The estate encompasses 137.5 hectares, with 75 hectares dedicated to vineyards. These vineyards are planted with a mix of traditional Portuguese and select international grape varieties, benefiting from the region's calcareous-clay soils. In 2016, the estate was acquired by Casa Agrícola Faia & Filhos, leading to modernisation efforts that respect the winery's rich heritage.
TASTING NOTES:
Citrus colour, slightly lemony fruity aroma, combined with notes of citrus fruits. On the palate it is a balanced wine with good complexity and with a long and acidic finish.
