Casal do Conde was established in the early 20th century by winemaker Manuel Henriques, is located in Vila Chã de Ourique within Portugal's Tejo region. The estate encompasses 137.5 hectares, with 75 hectares dedicated to vineyards. These vineyards are planted with a mix of traditional Portuguese and select international grape varieties, benefiting from the region's calcareous-clay soils. In 2016, the estate was acquired by Casa Agrícola Faia & Filhos, leading to modernisation efforts that respect the winery's rich heritage.
TASTING NOTES:
The wine showcases the versatility and gastronomic potential of typical Portuguese grapes, with a fresh and aromatic profile. Fermented in stainless steel vats with temperature control, it has a light citrine yellow colour and a strong aroma. On the palate, it offers a refreshing texture and volume, with a persistent finish.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Terra Chã White's versatility makes it a perfect companion for grilled seafood dishes, light vegetarian meals, fresh salads with citrus dressings and soft cheeses like goat cheese or brie.
