Vale d'Algares Pinot Gris is crafted by Casal do Conde, a historic winery established in the early 20th century in Vila Chã de Ourique, within Portugal's Tejo region. The estate spans 137.5 hectares, with 75 hectares dedicated to vineyards planted with both indigenous Portuguese and select international grape varieties. The calcareous-clay soils of the region contribute to the distinctive character of their wines. In 2016, the estate was acquired by Casa Agrícola Faia & Filhos, leading to modernisation efforts that respect the winery's rich heritage.
